Poem About Life Journey and Inner Peace – Adventure

Adventure
Poem About Life Journey and Inner Peace

 Adventures never have destinations.
It's experience that gives us what we need to find.
Leave the need for answers and your expectations
behind you, unpacked from your mind.

Modern life has lost its sense of mystery.
The need to know shatters our sense of awe.
To live out your true purpose and destiny
recognize that, at times, reason can be a flaw.

Don't ask me to explain love.
Or the chemicals released when I look in her eyes.
It's beyond what the human mind can conceive of,
lifeless facts that'll never explain what the heart testifies.

We must stop seeking adventure "out there";
true adventure is a journey of the heart.
The calling to discover, to dare
is where inner freedom starts.

Transformation A Poem About Change and Growth

Transformation
A Poem About Change and Growth

To suffer is to live;
to live is to suffer.
Born in the belly of hunger
for the need to discover
who we are
where we came from
where we're going.

The wheels of change
have no brakes,
no way to prevent the aches
from the collusion caused by our mistakes.
Part of growth.
Part of discovery.
Part of transformation.

We strive for the highest good
by becoming who we were born to be.
Surely we find the divine in unity
but also in the solace of individuality:
who we were
who we are
who we're becoming.

INK – A Poem

INK
A Poem

Why must you smear charcoal
Over a painting that was a masterpiece to begin?
Why must you detract from your natural beauty
With uncarefully crafted scribbles across your skin?
A stamp upon your hide like cattle,
Isn’t attractive nor does it make it come alive.
For truth lives in the heart –
Meaning resides on the inside.
You are the artist,
But can’t you see your canvas is already done?
God perfected you in beauty,
His masterpiece should not be undone.
Decisions for permanent decorating
Should not be made on a whim.
For now feminine beauty is covered
By black, tainted skin.
Ink is the life-force
Of each and every artist’s hand.
But the page is forgiving,
Our mistakes do not become our brand.
Ideas have power,
Never publish without careful revision.
Because words can never be taken back
By an untimely decision.
If an idea has no weight
Unless you see it in the mirror,
I’m afraid it never existed at all,
Can’t you see that, my dear?
For if we have to convince the world or ourselves
Who we are by throwing it in their face,
It’s time we retreat to the quiet
And figure out who we are in the first place.
Ink is magic,
But too much overwhelms the mind.
So choose your words carefully,
And keep unrefined symbols from your lines.
