We’re Only Human – A Poem About the Human Condition
The older we get
the less certain we are of absolutes.
But one thing we’re absolutely certain of
is our flawed, human nature.
When we’re children we yearn
for the day we’ll have all the answers,
when we’ll no longer feel scared or vulnerable,
and when we’ll stop making stupid mistakes.
Until we grow old and realize
that’s what it means to be human.

Soul Notes – Poems and Reflections
If you’re searching for meaning in a world that feels too busy, too loud, too dominated by endless scrolling, Soul Notes is a place to feel heard. A few times a month, I send reflections on nature, mental health, and spirituality. Words to carry with you.
