The Game of Life – A Poem About Success

Destiny lies outside the realms of limitations,
Frolics through fields free from fear,
Never is bound by expectations,
Nor by the face reflected in the mirror.

Duty wakes up before the rising sun
Set on making strides while the rest of the world sleeps.
Is never ever finished nor done
Until the goal at hand is finally reached.

Dreaming is never mere fascination,
But a chance to lasso and rope the stars.
Carefully mapping out plans of execution
And never letting action remain locked behind bars.

Diligence pushes forward
When all others decide to turn back.
Never is dismayed by the scoreboard
Or allows failures to stop it in its tracks.

Devotion to success is not without cost
Else all would see its fame,
But never counts failure as a loss,
As long as you never walk away from the game.
